Our Technical Operations team comprises aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities professionals, and supply chain teams that ensure they’re well-equipped and ready to transport our customers to their desired destinations. Job overview and responsibilities
As an Analyst - Tech Ops Strategic Planning, you will support the development and execution of aircraft maintenance strategies that maximize fleet availability, optimize maintenance schedules, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Working alongside fleet portfolio owners and cross-functional partners, you will analyze maintenance requirements, identify trends, support long-term maintenance planning efforts, and contribute to strategic initiatives that balance aircraft utilization, maintenance compliance, and cost objectives.
Support the creation, maintenance, and implementation of long-term airframe maintenance plans
Perform data mining, trend analysis, and forecasting to support maintenance planning decisions
Analyze aircraft maintenance schedules, operational constraints, and resource availability to identify opportunities for optimization
Assist in evaluating maintenance strategies through scenario analysis and quantitative modeling
Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders
Track and report key performance indicators to support continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Records, Maintenance Programs, Supply Chain, and Maintenance Operations teams to resolve planning issues and implement strategic initiatives
Support special projects focused on improving maintenance planning processes, aircraft availability, and operational performance
Maintain planning tools, databases, and analytical models used to support fleet maintenance strategies
NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL, and is considered a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office per week.
Qualifications
What's Needed to Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
1+ years of experience using data analysis and quantitative problem-solving techniques
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and make data-driven recommendations
Basic understanding of forecasting, modeling, or operational analysis concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
What Will Help You Propel from the Pack (Preferred Qualifications)
Internship or professional experience in planning, strategy, analytics, maintenance, operations, supply chain, or a related field
Experience working with large datasets and data visualization tools such as Spotfire, Tableau, or Power BI
Familiarity with airline operations, maintenance planning, or technical operations environments
Basic SQL or programming experience
Experience creating dashboards, reports, or analytical models
Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a passion for continuous improvement
The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $86,616.00.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business, or related field
- Minimum 1 year experience in data analysis and quantitative problem-solving with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills; legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
