Your careers page, ready to share

Your careers page at openjobshq.com/your-company is now public. Candidates can browse your open roles without an OpenJobs account, on a clean page carrying your name and logo — with nothing of ours competing for their attention.

  • Anyone can open your careers page — no OpenJobs account and no sign-in wall standing between a candidate and your roles
  • The page carries your logo, your name, and a link to your site; the only OpenJobs mark is a small "Powered by OpenJobs" credit at the bottom
  • No OpenJobs header, footer, navigation, or ads — the page is yours
  • Roles are grouped by job function, so someone scanning for engineering work finds it together in one place
  • Every opening shows its location and whether it's remote, hybrid, or on-site at a glance
  • Sharing your careers link on LinkedIn or Slack now previews your company name and open roles instead of a generic OpenJobs card
  • If you have no roles open, the page says so plainly rather than looking broken
ImprovementAugust 9, 2026

Read any job before making an account

Job postings are now readable by anyone. Open a role from a company's careers page, a shared link, or a search result and read the full description and requirements before deciding whether to sign up.

  • Full job descriptions and minimum requirements are visible without an account
  • An Apply button now sits at the top of the job page next to the role title, not only at the bottom
  • You're asked to sign in once, at the moment you apply, and land straight back on the same job
  • Jobs from companies without a logo now show the company's initial instead of a broken image
FeatureImprovementAugust 8, 2026

Post jobs anywhere in the US

You're no longer limited to Chicago. Job postings can now be based in any of 50 major US metros, and the location field has become a search box — start typing a city and it finds it, so the list stays out of your way no matter how long it gets.

  • 50 major US metros are now available when you post a job or edit an existing one, alongside Remote
  • The location field is now a search box — type a few letters and matching cities appear, so you never scroll a long list
  • Search matches anywhere in the name, not just the start, so "aus" finds Austin and "or" finds both Orlando and Portland
  • Your chosen location shows as a tag above the search box, so it stays visible and clearly saved while you look for something else
  • Keyboard friendly — arrow keys move through matches, Enter picks one, Escape closes the list without losing your other edits
  • Chicago and Remote work exactly as before, and jobs you've already posted keep their location
FeatureAugust 5, 2026

Know what you're signing into

Employers arriving from OpenJobs now land on a page that explains what the employer dashboard actually does posting jobs, tracking applicants, and your own careers page instead of going straight to a sign-in form.

  • New employer landing page that explains the dashboard before you're asked to sign in
  • Shows what you get: post a role to the OpenJobs board, track every applicant in one place, and a branded careers page at openjobshq.com/your-company
  • The free plan is stated up front — 2 active jobs, no card required
  • Sign in and Get started are both on the page, and signing in still takes you straight to your dashboard
ImprovementAugust 5, 2026

Two more job functions to post and filter by

Employers can now file a role under Customer Success or Marketing and Design when posting it. Both categories were already in use on the OpenJobs board, so these roles now land where job seekers expect to find them.

  • Customer Success and Marketing and Design are now options when you post a new job or edit an existing one
  • Both show up in the job function filter, so you can narrow the board to just those roles
  • The two new categories match what OpenJobs already uses, so a role posted here is grouped the same way on the board
  • Every existing job function is unchanged, and jobs you've already posted keep the category you gave them
ImprovementAugust 4, 2026

Sign in without losing your place

Signing in no longer takes you off the job board. Click Save, Apply, or Mark as applied while you're logged out and a sign-in window opens right where you are your search, your filters, and your place in the results all stay put, and whatever you clicked happens the moment you're signed in.

  • Signing in from the jobs list now happens in a window on the page instead of sending you to a separate sign-in page
  • Your search, filters, and place in the results are kept while you sign in — no more starting over
  • The action you clicked runs automatically once you're in, whether that's saving a job, marking it applied, or opening an application
  • Tailoring a resume with Nova AI now asks you to sign in before you leave the jobs list, then takes you straight to that job's resume tool
  • Fixed: opening Nova Labs for a specific job while signed out no longer forgets the job — you land on the right resume tool instead of an empty dashboard
  • If sign-in doesn't finish, you can try again without losing the job you were working with

A cleaner, easier-to-scan job card

Job cards now show all the key details on a single tidy line, and minimum requirements stay tucked away until you want them — so you can scan more jobs at a glance.

  • Job tags — location, work type, job function, experience level, salary, and posted date — now sit on one compact line instead of spreading across the card
  • Minimum requirements are collapsed by default; click "Show" to expand them on any job you're interested in
  • Tidier, more consistent job details across both the jobs list and the individual job pages
FeatureJuly 24, 2026

Candidates can now build a daily activity streak just by using the platform — no extra steps required. Logging in and engaging with your account each day keeps your streak going, and your streak count is always accurate the moment you check it.

  • Any activity on your candidate account now automatically counts toward your daily streak. We also fixed an issue where your streak page could occasionally show outdated numbers on your first visit of the day — it now always displays your current, up-to-date streak.

A leaner dashboard and a new home for your job-search notes

We've reworked the dashboard around what you actually use. The Application Tracker is now focused on the four stages that matter, the snapshot bar surfaces your total active applications at a glance, and we've reclaimed the old Archived column for something far more useful: a running notes panel that lives with the rest of your job search.

  • Notes column on your dashboard — a running list of timestamped notes, perfect for follow-up reminders, interview prep, or journaling your search. Add, edit, and delete anytime; nothing is ever auto-removed.
  • "Total" replaces "Archived" in your snapshot — instantly see how many applications you're actively tracking across Applied, Interview, Offer, and Not Proceeding.
  • Streamlined Application Tracker — four focused columns (Applied, Interview, Offer, Not Proceeding) replace the previous five, for a cleaner drag-and-drop workflow.
  • No data left behind — any jobs you'd previously moved to Archived now appear in the Not Proceeding column automatically. Nothing was deleted.
FeatureMay 22, 2026

Pagination Improvements on Job Board

We've upgraded the job board to make browsing listings easier and more reliable. Users can now jump directly to any page of results numbered pagination bar, eliminating the need to click through pages one at a time. We also fixed a bug where users browsing deeper pages would unexpectedly get sent back to page 1, your place in the listings is now preserved.

  • Jump to any page instantly — Users can now click directly to any page of job listings from the pagination bar at the bottom, instead of clicking "Next" repeatedly to get there.
  • Page numbers are displayed with smart ellipsis (e.g. 1 2 3 … 7 8) so users always know where they are and how many pages are available.
  • Users who were browsing deep into the job listings (e.g. page 5 or beyond) were occasionally getting sent back to page 1 after returning to the tab. This has been fixed and your position is now preserved.
  • Applying a new filter or search still correctly resets you to page 1 of the new results, while simply retrying after an error keeps you on the page you were on.
FeatureMay 19, 2026

  • Type to instantly narrow the company list
  • Company selection saved as part of your default filters
  • Company preference restored automatically on your next visit
