About the role
Position Summary RT Specialty is seeking an experienced Inside Broker to join our ProExec team, working alongside highly specialized brokers on complex Professional and Executive Liability risks. This role will partner closely with retail brokers and carrier markets to develop creative placement strategies, negotiate coverage and terms, and deliver solutions for sophisticated client needs. The ideal candidate brings Professional and Executive Liability experience with deep technical expertise in one or more specialty product areas.
This individual is a strong communicator and relationship builder who combines technical credibility with energy, initiative, and a strong work ethic. Experience across every ProExec product is not required; we are looking for specialists who know their product, understand the market, and can use that expertise to build trusted relationships and drive business. What will your job entail? Essential Functions Develop and execute placement strategies for new and renewal Professional and Executive Liability business.
Partner with retail brokers to understand client exposures, coverage needs, and placement objectives. Review submissions and supporting documentation to identify exposures, coverage considerations, and appropriate market opportunities. Market accounts to carrier partners and negotiate coverage, pricing, terms, conditions, and capacity. Analyze quotes and coverage options and communicate recommendations and market feedback clearly to retail brokers. Serve as a technical resource within an area of specialty, helping retail partners navigate complex Professional and Executive Liability risks.
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers, underwriters, and carrier partners. Identify opportunities to deepen existing retail relationships and contribute to new business growth. Collaborate with producers, brokers, and account teams on complex placements and business development opportunities. Maintain current knowledge of carrier appetite, market conditions, emerging exposures, and coverage developments within areas of specialty. Provide responsive and accurate service throughout the placement process, from initial submission through binding.
Continue to broaden knowledge across the ProExec platform while maintaining deep expertise within a core specialty. Perform other duties as assigned. Education / Experience / Skills Relevant experience within ProExec Liability insurance. Deep technical expertise within at least one Professional or Executive Liability specialty. Specialty underwriting or wholesale brokerage experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of coverage, exposures, carrier appetite, and placement strategy within an area of specialty.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, underwriters, and market partners. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and concisely. High level of initiative, responsiveness, organization, and follow-through. Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Commercial mindset with an interest in developing relationships, identifying opportunities, and growing business. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
Appropriate insurance licensing required or ability to obtain required licenses. Candidates with established broker relationships, niche technical expertise, or demonstrated business development success may be considered above the posted range. The target salary range for this position is $146,400.00 - $183,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits. Minimum requirements
- Relevant experience in ProExec Liability insurance with deep technical expertise in at least one Professional or Executive Liability specialty.
