Job Description
Health Information Management (HIM) and Identify Analyst is responsible for complex design, build, and maintenance of Epic HIM application including Identify module. This role contributes to system configuration, troubleshooting and end user support. The Analyst II will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to analyze workflows, resolve system issues, and contribute to the overall enhancement of Epic System and user experience.
They provide support by correcting issues that arise from customer usage, identifying necessary configuration changes, supporting related systems, creating detailed test cases, contributing to testing and results analysis, and documenting all systems changes. Epic Analyst plays a crucial role in integrating systems and Epic applications, to create cohesive value chain solutions. They enhance product life-cycle management by understanding and optimizing system workflows.
Responsibilities
Independently leads the analysis, design, build, and optimization of complex Epic HIM workflows, with a focus on Identity and Release of Information
Serves as the application lead for medium to large-sized projects, including upgrades and new feature rollouts
Acts as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and performs in-depth root cause analysis on the EMPI and other HIM functions
Partners with clinical and operational leadership to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient system solutions
Provides technical guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance for other analysts' work
Architects advanced HIM and Identity workflows and contributes to the overall strategy for the master patient index
Qualifications
Required:
6+ years of experience in HIM, Identity application
Excellent attention to detail including verbal communication and documentation skills
Preferred:
Experience in Gallery Application
Experience in Laboratory/Diagnostics industry
Experience integrating 3rd party systems
Work Environment:
Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.

Education:
College degree in computer science, information science or equivalent work experience (Required)
Active Epic certification in Identity and Health Information Management (HIM) Certifications (Required)
Resolute, Prelude and Cadence certification a plus (Preferred)
