What the day will look like
As a member of a top-performing team, you will support positive outcomes for our clients by providing effective solutions within our Strategy Advisory group in the Strategy & Technology Group (STG).
Aon STG Strategy Advisory offers consulting services to organizations in the insurance sector. These include many prestigious companies in global Property and Casualty, Insurtech, Digital Platforms, and Health and Benefits (re)insurance markets.
Our team supports clients in adapting to a rapidly shifting market to foster profitable and steady growth alongside strong business outcomes. Thanks to privileged access to Aon’s proprietary data and global (re)insurance expert network, we generate distinctive and valuable insights about the industry's competitive edge. As an Experienced Associate, you will work in a client-facing role alongside Client Leaders, Project Managers, and Aon leadership. You will support and lead project workstreams that deliver business-focused initiatives and strategic recommendations. This will include understanding client objectives, evaluating business challenges, conducting business and market analysis, assessing risk, and defining strategies that build growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
As an Experienced Associate, your responsibilities will include:
Participate in the full lifecycle of client engagements by supporting the delivery of discrete workstreams, central initiatives, and business transformation projects
Apply project management and Agile methodology principles to coordinate workstreams, monitor deliverables, manage priorities, and support projects through completion
Conduct business analysis to understand client objectives, business requirements, operating models, processes, and performance challenges
Conduct data analysis, data management, financial modeling, and data visualization to generate clear and actionable quantitative insights
Develop arguments that assess strategic opportunities, potential investments, operating improvements, risks, and anticipated business outcomes
Perform market research and subject-matter research, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative analyses, to guide business strategies and client recommendations
Review risk management procedures and contribute to the formulation of risk management strategies that match client objectives
You bring knowledge and expertise
Characteristics of an ideal candidate:
Previous, demonstrated experience in consulting, finance, corporate strategy, insurance, or a similar business environment
Experience supporting consulting engagements, client workstreams, or strategic business initiatives
Practical understanding of project management methods and experience applying Agile methodology in a project or business environment
Strong business analysis capabilities, including the ability to identify business needs, assess challenges, and assist in the creation of effective solutions
Experience developing arguments and evaluating the financial, operational, and strategic implications of recommendations
Strong analytical skills and proven experience in data analysis, data management, and financial modeling
Experience translating complex data into clear insights through data visualization, written reports, and presentations
Familiarity with risk management principles and experience assisting in the creation or assessment of risk management strategies
Strong business communication, report writing, presentation, and business writing abilities
Experience performing market research and applying quantitative and qualitative insights to inform business strategies
Understanding of change management, process improvement, and organizational transformation principles
Exposure to digital transformation initiatives and an interest in developing additional expertise in this area
Experience supporting business development activities, including proposals, client presentations, and marketing materials
Knowledge of customer relationship management methods and CRM software
Knowledge of sales and operations planning principles or experience supporting long-term planning and operational alignment
Strong interpersonal skills coupled with the capability to form meaningful connections with clients and colleagues
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and solve complex business problems
Ability to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple workstreams and tight deadlines
Ability to find opportunities to take on additional responsibility and improve individual or team efficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Experience in data analytics and data visualization tools is advantageous
Willingness to travel up to 10%
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics, or a closely related field, or a comparable mix of education and pertinent industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $60,000 to $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics, or related field
- Experience in consulting, finance, corporate strategy, or insurance with strong business analysis and project management skills
- Proficiency in data analysis, financial modeling, Agile methodology, and Microsoft Office, with willingness to travel up to 10%
