What the day will look like

The ER Operations Manager is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Provide strategic guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with global standards while maintaining compliance with local regulatory and employment law requirements.

Oversee resolution of complex employee inquiries, investigations, performance matters, workplace concerns, and organizational change activities, raising risks appropriately.

As applicable, partner with Legal, Compliance, and People teams to mitigate employee relations, regulatory, and reputational risks.

Build strong stakeholder relationships to deliver practical, risk-balanced solutions that support organizational objectives and colleague outcomes.

Assess case trends, service metrics, and ER data to identify emerging risks, inform decision-making, and drive proactive solutions.

Ensure timely escalation of high-risk or sensitive matters while maintaining accurate case documentation and governance controls.

Leverage analytics and trend reporting to improve processes, enhance service delivery, and support workforce and ER strategies.

This position manages a team of Senior Specialists responsible for delivering high-quality employee relations support and consultation across a broad range of colleague and manager inquiries. This role ensures timely, compliant, and consistent resolution of matters while balancing global standards with local legal requirements.

Acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders, People Partners, Legal, and Compliance teams, the manager drives service excellence, manages risk, uses data trends to identify opportunities and escalate concerns, and ensures delivery against SLAs while fostering strong partnerships and continuous improvement.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Proven experience leading teams, ideally in a virtual or global environment

Knowledge of Employee Relations and Labor Laws

Experience with incident management software such as EthicsPoint

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $110,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience with proven team leadership, preferably in virtual/global settings
  • Strong knowledge of Employee Relations, Labor Laws, and incident management software like EthicsPoint
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance, manage complex employee issues, and ensure compliance with global and local regulations
