Job Description

The Vice President of Finance is a key member of the Leadership Team and serves as strategic finance partner to the IT organization, overseeing financial strategy, IT financial governance, and technology-related financial support to improve operational effectiveness and profitability. The VP leads a team of financial professionals that provides impactful analytical support and appropriate analysis on key metrics to the business to make critical and time-sensitive decisions.

Responsibilities:

Serves as the bridge between Finance and IT cloud development teams, ensuring cloud spending is managed to maximize value while balancing ongoing costs and investment, including analyzing cloud usage patterns and developing financial models to forecast expected cloud spending.

Directs and communicates key financial analysis to aid in business’ decision making and strategic planning, including preparation of forecasts, financial models, IT investment analyses and performance results.

Serves as an IT business partner at the strategic level to enable the business to make solid, informed decisions.

Delivers timely and accurate financial information that is actionable and well understood within organization.

Provides insights from financial and market trends with business and technology understanding of implications and opportunities.

Identifies operational and structural issues impacting the business and drives changes which will improve performance.

Directs activities concerning adherence to accounting policies and practices.

Leads the organization from an ethics and compliance perspective to ensure that adequate controls are in place and followed.

Leads decision support, financial planning and analysis efforts.

Creates, leads and develops a team which provides timely analysis of financial data to monitor trends and recommends changes to improve business results.

Leads the business in controlling costs and supports managing any divergences from targets being proactive in developing solutions.

Leads the process of creating the annual operating plan and establishing individual goals which are tied to compensation.

Drives change across the business unit Finance organization aligned with the corporate initiatives and operating model.

Manages strategic synergistic activities and best in class digital implementations to be the best tech enable supply chain company in the world.

Qualifications:

15 years required of finance and financial leadership experience.

Working knowledge of operational finance including financial analysis, forecasting, and planning.

GAAP, financial statements, internal controls, and SOX requirements.

Strong business acumen.

Experience applying data analysis and visualization techniques to large, complex financial and operational data sets to identify trends, evaluate IT investments, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate operating results to senior management across the organization.

Ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders in functions and teams across the business.

Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate change in an organization.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem solving background.

Ability to influence business decisions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience

20 years required of finance and Financial Leadership experience.

5 years experience supporting the IT sector or tech company experience preferred.

Experience in technology sourcing, software licensing and compliance, vendor and contract management, commercial negotiations, and cloud operations, with a demonstrated ability to optimize technology investments and provide strong financial stewardship for IT.

Compensation Details

$245,972 - $344,362 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
