About the role
Provides strategic leadership for enterprise architecture and technology governance across the organization. Establishes architecture direction, standards, and governance practices that enable technology investments, support business priorities, and manage enterprise risk. Partners with senior technology and business leaders to drive alignment, modernization, and long-term technology strategy while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Lead and drive the development and evolution of enterprise architecture strategy, principles, standards, and governance practices in partnership with technology executives and broader architect team. Provide guidance and recommendations that align technology decisions with business objectives, risk tolerance, operational needs, and long-term strategy. Establish and maintain architecture governance processes to support consistent, scalable, and effective technology decision-making.
Partner with executive and technology leaders to evaluate priorities, recommend technology direction, and support enterprise transformation initiatives. Facilitate collaboration across architecture, engineering, security, data, infrastructure, cloud, and pillar architects to ensure alignment and integration of technology solutions. Assess enterprise technology roadmaps and identify opportunities to improve business value, reduce risk, enhance capabilities, and optimize enterprise investments.
Provide leadership and oversight for transition and target architecture roadmaps which include modernization efforts to meet business outcomes and goals. Develop architecture talent, build organizational capabilities, and foster high-performing teams and collaborative communities of practice. Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic technology planning and innovation opportunities. Communicate architecture vision, priorities, and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 3 additional years of experience related to functional area Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports In depth technology knowledge for functional area and ability to define and mature enterprise architecture strategy, standards, priciples, policies, guardrails, reference architectures, and target state direction Ability to aggregate business-unit and
domain technology plans, assess enterprise alignment, identify overlaps and gaps, and develop architecture-informed recommendations Working knowledge across integration, data, infrastructure, cloud, AI, security, and custom application architecture Ability to balance enterprise guardrails with delivery speed, business priorities, innovation, and practical implementation realities Enterprise architecture strategy, standards development, roadmap synthesis, etc.
