The Opportunity The Senior ServiceNow Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the ServiceNow platform, maintaining data model standards, and designing & implementing integrations between Salesforce, ServiceNow, Data Warehouse, and other third party applications. This position will work to design, implement, and deploy solutions and enhancements to existing and new components. You will need to have broad understanding across the platform including ITSM, CSM, ITBM, ITOM, and ITIL processes.
Day in the Life Development: Design, develop, and implement complex ServiceNow solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and best practices. Customization: Create custom applications, integrations, and workflows within the ServiceNow platform. Problem Solving: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow features and best practices, recommending and implementing enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, analysts, and other team members to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions. Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior developers, fostering their professional growth. SDLC Adherence: Ensure compliance with ServiceNow Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and standards. ITSM Workflow Design: Design and implement complex ITSM workflows, including incident management, problem management, change management, and knowledge management processes.
Business Process Automation: Automate ITSM processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. Integration: Integrate ITSM workflows with other enterprise applications and systems. Integration Expertise: Demonstrated experience with various ServiceNow integration types, including: REST APIs: Integrating ServiceNow with other applications using Representational State Transfer APIs. SOAP APIs: Integrating ServiceNow with applications using Simple Object Access Protocol APIs. Scheduled Jobs: Automating data synchronization between ServiceNow and external systems using scheduled jobs.
Integration Hub: Utilizing ServiceNow's Integration Hub to manage and orchestrate integrations with external systems. Event Notifications: Triggering actions in ServiceNow based on events occurring in external systems. Outbound Web Services: Exposing ServiceNow data and services to external applications through web services. Scripting Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages, including: JavaScript: Creating custom scripts and business rules within ServiceNow. GlideScript: Writing scripts specific to ServiceNow's Glide Record API and other platform-specific objects.
Business Rules: Automating actions based on specific conditions within ServiceNow records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), workflows. Minimum requirements
