THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:

The Sr. Manager Retail Operations role will be responsible for the end-to-end P&L management of the Retail Operations function in direct support of the Retail Ops Business Partners. This team will coordinate and analyze the annual plan and on-going forecasts, along with the development of the five-year strategic plan. In addition, this position will be responsible for driving and unlocking expense efficiencies and sales driving opportunities by leveraging advanced analytics with integrated functional & field partnership.

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:

Work closely with the business and finance partners to consolidate plans and forecasts for the Salon P&L, Retail Payroll P&L, and the Growth & Development P&L

Remove barriers to execution and drive role clarity through consolidation of functional tasks into a consistent architecture and approach

Support the implementation of the future state payroll funding model, including the evolution of the planning strategy and the tools with which to execute

Drive Salon P&L profitability by modeling, implementing, and measuring profitability levers

Drive expense efficiencies & sales driving opportunities through direct partnership with field leaders by identifying, analyzing, and measuring identified opportunities. This includes the development of tools to facilitate field financial education and narrowing opportunities to drive leadership focus to execute

Drive Segmentation through the development of strategies, including new store formats, merchandising investments, or funding models and measuring the outcomes & ROI

Drive greater focus on Pinnacle, associated investments and anticipated ROI benefits

Support the financial evaluation of new store & remodel opportunities through the Real Estate Committee Process

Integrated sales planning of Non-Comp & Salon, including development and reporting of field incentive plans, including participation rates

Pursue bottoms up comp sales planning process and drive better connection with Integrated Business Planning team

Responsible for analyzing financial roll-ups to identify and explain variances

Partner with the business to prepare plan, forecast and monthly financial presentation decks

Develop, implement and continuously improve metrics and scorecards

Works closely with the business to develop and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies

Develop the five-year strategic financial plan for the function

Develop quarterly Board of Director and Audit Committee financial presentations

Lead capital planning, approval and post mortem processes

Develop tools and reporting that will provide insights into the business and improve productivity

Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Monitor overhead expense budget v. actual results, identify trends, and lead cost containment initiatives

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:

7-10 years of professional financial experience in a retail or consumer products organization (preferred)

Experience in a financial support role in a retail category management environment helpful

Undergraduate degree in finance, business, or related field, MBA preferred but not required

Advanced analytical skills coupled with an ability to interpret, communicate findings, and make recommendations to senior leadership

Advanced Excel and Access skills

Ability to influence decision makers through financial analyses and interpersonal skills

Ability to build teams, processes, and models that deliver desired results

Innate inquisitiveness relative to process workings and financial results

Desire to see personal and organizational effort lead to bottom line results

Knowledge of financial processes and internal controls

Comfortable working independently and in collaborative manner in a cross-functional environment

Proficient in MS Office, SAP or Business Intelligence systems knowledge helpful

Prior FP&A experience preferred, but not required

The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $155,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
