Responsibilities of position include, but are not limited to the following: Review and analyze complex standalone Professional Liability risks, including but not limited to Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Real Estate E&O, Media Liability, and Technology Professionals. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analysis to determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing based on internal guidelines and market conditions. Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with brokers, clients, and other stakeholders to drive submission flow and new business growth.

Collaborate with other underwriting teams to identify cross-selling opportunities and promote our product offerings. Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks. Monitor and manage the performance of the assigned portfolio, making recommendations for adjustments as needed. Maintain meticulous documentation and data integrity within underwriting systems. Other duties as may be assigned by manager. Requirements: Bachelor's degree – insurance, business, finance, or a related field preferred.

2-5 years of experience in Professional Liability underwriting, with a proven track record of profitable growth. Comprehensive knowledge of Professional Liability underwriting, policies, and coverages within the insurance industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make sound decisions. Possess planning, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Self-motivated and independent work traits along with multi-tasking, organizational skills.

Proficient in using underwriting software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant tools. Professional designations such as CPCU, RPLU, and/or ARM are a plus. Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in insurance, business, finance, or related field preferred
