We define ourselves through our superior execution on behalf of our clients, which has established us as a leader in the industry. Position Summary The Account Executive provides account management and operational support to a growing wholesale brokerage team.
This role works closely with the Broker to manage new business and renewal activity, prepare accurate market submissions, maintain account documentation, analyze portfolio information, and help ensure the team delivers consistent, responsive service. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and confident using Excel to organize information and identify insights. The Account Executive will also have opportunities to evaluate how technology and AI-enabled tools can improve workflows, reporting, and overall team efficiency.
This position is well suited for someone interested in building a long-term career in account management and brokerage operations. The role is not primarily focused on generating new business or developing into a producer. Over time, the Account Executive is expected to become a trusted operational partner to the Broker, helping manage the existing book of business, support client retention, and strengthen the team’s day-to-day processes. This position is based in the Chicago office five days per week. What will your job entail?
Support the Broker throughout the new business and renewal lifecycle, including gathering account information, preparing submissions, reviewing quotes, and coordinating next steps. Proactively manage renewal timelines and help ensure accounts progress accurately and efficiently through each stage of the process. Prepare market submissions, quote comparisons, coverage summaries, proposals, and other materials for agents and clients. Review policy documents, binders, endorsements, invoices, and account records for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain accurate and timely account information within internal systems and ensure documentation meets quality, service, and compliance standards. Use Excel and other tools to organize account data, analyze portfolio trends, monitor performance, and identify items requiring follow-up. Produce reports and provide the Broker with meaningful insights regarding renewals, retention, account activity, and the overall book of business. Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, documentation, and team efficiency through technology and AI-enabled tools.
Coordinate with internal partners, including Premium Accounting and other service teams, to resolve invoicing issues, notices of cancellation, documentation gaps, and related account matters. Build effective relationships with carrier, agent, and internal partners while developing an understanding of wholesale brokerage operations. Help the team meet contractual, regulatory, and internal policy requirements. Support client retention through accurate execution, proactive follow-up, and dependable service.
Gradually take on broader responsibility for the operational management of the team and its book of business. Participate in client-facing activities as experience and business needs develop, although external travel and business development are not primary expectations of the role. What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy. Analytical mindset with the ability to organize information, work comfortably with numbers, and recognize patterns or discrepancies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, review, and analyze account data.
