About the role

Job Description

This role is responsible for developing and supporting complex vendor integration solutions throughout the full development life cycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive Epic implementation experience and will be able to quickly learn new technologies and business requirements to deliver and support appropriate solutions in a timely, professional manner.

Please note this is a hybrid opportunity (3 days in office & 2 days WFH). The position can be based in one of the following locations: Schaumburg IL, or Secaucus, NJ.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000 / year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

Develop technical design documents to build and implement integration solutions.

Certify new vendors, products, and functionality against company and regulatory requirements.

Implement, document, and test interface projects, including beta versions and production enhancements.

Provide Tier 3 support for complex production issues by monitoring and resolving integration problems.

Participate in innovation activities and support emerging technologies like FHIR and HL7 LRI.

Set up, support, and maintain HUB interfaces while complying with all company standards.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, or Information Systems or the equivalent work experience required.

Required Work Experience:

3-5 years of laboratory implementation experience.

3-5 years of experience in a laboratory customer connectivity role.

Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Solid grasp of technical and process concepts related to client connectivity.

Excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, and communication skills.

Proficiency with general connectivity support and problem resolution procedures.

Preferred Work Experience:

5+ years of experience in the Health Care industry or with clinical information systems support.

Proficiency with multiple LIS platforms currently deployed at Quest Diagnostics.

Solid understanding of support tools and processes, including call tracking software (e.g., Service Manager), Quanum, and HL7.

Work Environment

Work requires handling light and simple weight material and equipment. Visual activity requires the ability to tolerate prolonged periods of close computer screens. Work requires speed, accuracy and adeptness to operate in system application. Fast-paced work environment. After hours, weekend and holiday work will occasionally be required as determined by the Application Mgr to support software/hardware patches, upgrades, downtimes and potential disasters.

Technical Training or Professional Licensing:

Epic certification desired
