IT Manager - Direct Acquisition

As an IT manager in the Direct Acquisition organization, you’ll manage a team of quality assurance analysts and test engineers (SDTs) who ensure the quality and reliability of our Direct Acquisition systems. Consumers and internal sales use these systems to quote and buy Progressive personal line products. In this role you'll lead an agile team that enables quality at scale through strong quality engineering practices, test automation, and reusable testing capabilities.

Your team will evolve the engineering model by expanding automation, extending existing modern testing practices, and building reusable capabilities that enable quality earlier in the software delivery lifecycle. You’ll also shape the evolution while building the team’s skills and capabilities to meet Direct Acquisitions changing needs.

This a remote position with occasional travel to an office for a meeting/and or training

Minimum qualifications

Minimum 4 years of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.

{OR} Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or Business discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Business Management) and a minimum of 1 year of work experience managing professionals, technologies, architecture, or project delivery.

Preferred skills

Experience in leading service delivery across a variety of teams and partners

Strong people leader who can assess and develop talent for future business needs.

Experience managing teams through technical or operating-model evolution while maintaining engagement.

Experience with Agile/Scrum and delivering quality within iterative software development environments.

Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation management experience.

Compensation

$148,000 - $170,000/year

Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
