Temporary Job Description:
Provides day-to-day financial & accounting support using an advanced knowledge of applicable skills, methods & practices & some innovation, analysis, & reasoning to choose appropriate alternatives from among pre-defined policies & procedures to complete work that includes successive steps &
involves some non-routine problems &/or decisions. Applies industry and professional standards, university policy and procedure, federal and state laws and other regulations. Provides administrative &/or clerical support. Additionally, the temporary Financial Assistant is responsible for .

Accounts payable
Expense reimbursement
Processing Payments
Purchase Orders
Wire transfers
Financial Data Entry and Upkeep
Budget Statements Reconciliation
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Accounting or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
1-2 years of experience in a financial support function.
1-2 years of administrative experience in an academic setting.
Experience with account reconciliation
Experience with Payroll
Helpful, respectful, approachable, building a positive work environment, receptive to feedback, demonstrates ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
In addition to salary, this temporary position is eligible for paid time off and paid sick time in accordance with Northwestern University policies. This position is not eligible for other benefits offered to regular staff positions
