WHO YOU ARE You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area at an accredited college/university with an expected graduate date of December 2027 through Summer 2028 You have a minimum GPA of 3.0 You are curious about financial markets and interested in learning more about the financial services industry You have some knowledge of accounting and financial principles, usually acquired through accounting/finance coursework or prior related experience, and are curious to learn more You have proven analytical, data interpretation, problem-solving, critical and
strategic thinking skills through coursework and/or previous internship experience You have demonstrated leadership and teamwork through projects and extracurricular involvement WHAT YOU’LL DO As an intern at Northern Trust, you will have the opportunity to build relevant skills, work on meaningful projects, and participate in a collaborative program designed to support your early career development.
You will work directly with your team on day-to-day tasks while joining internship program events to develop new skills, network with senior leaders, and connect with fellow interns in the program. Through hands-on experience, meaningful project work, and exposure to a dynamic global business, you will begin to see how your interests can grow into a long-term career at Northern Trust. A recruiter will work with you to determine the best team placement given your interests, skill set, and relevant experience.
THE PROGRAM: Ten weeks Located in Chicago, IL WHAT YOU’LL GAIN: Participate in the preparation and production of financial reporting for the quarterly earnings cycle Support monthly/quarterly financial reporting and analysis for assigned business unit Interact with stakeholders to understand oversight of accounting and financial infrastructures PROGRAM OPPORTUNITIES: Professional development workshops Lunch & Learns with Leadership Intern Cross-Functional Project Presentation Intern volunteer event Social events Ongoing learnings at enterprise-wide level Mentorship and networking

Salary Range: Salary is $30.00 USD per hour. Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
