About Mozilla

Mozilla Corporation develops open-source internet software, most notably the Firefox web browser, along with other products like the Thunderbird email client. It serves internet users worldwide who want a privacy-focused, non-corporate-controlled alternative to major browsers, and operates as a taxable subsidiary of the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation. Mozilla's origins trace to 1998 as an open-source project spun out of Netscape, with the Corporation itself founded in 2005 and headquartered in San Francisco.
