About the role
Job Description: The Retail Insights Analyst is a part of the Retail Analytics and Insights Team and has shared responsibility for ensuring that the full Mars Snacking retail team has the necessary reporting suite, advanced insights and support needed to execute with excellence in store every day. This will be achieved by working closely – on a day-to-day basis with the Analytics & Insights Lead, peer Insights Analysts, channel stakeholders and the Retail Strategy and Operations team.
The headline responsibilities of the roles are: Support of the Power BI suite of retail reports Provide business trends/opportunities to field management team Troubleshoot data and report issues, problem solve resolution Incorporate cross functional data into retail reporting needs Provide necessary support for performance scorecards and incentive programs Ad Hoc reporting to the field The role is responsible for providing consistent reporting and insights to our full retail team to enable actionable field execution strategies.
In doing so, the role will need to be an excellent communicator with strong program and project management skills and a high level of expertise in translating priorities into action.
Success in this role will be achieved through: Complete understanding of the retail reporting suite: purpose of reports, associated input/output, ability to solve reporting issues and continuous improvement Extract meaningful insights from reporting to enable key stakeholders to form actionable plans Provide needed reporting support for retail scorecards and sales incentive plans Monitor trends across retail team and provide summarized output to internal stakeholders Work cross functionally to obtain and incorporate third party data into retail reports Contribute to the resolution of data
issues feeding the reports, inclusive of root cause analysis through solution Point of contact for reporting needs that originate from the field Collaborating across the broader Retail Strategy & Operations Team on all key cross-team initiatives, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency Completing special projects assigned by line manager Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an emphasis in business management, project management or technology management MBA preferred Knowledge & Experience Understanding/Experience of the work of a field-based Retail
Sales organization 2+ years of experience in Business/Category Analytics and/or Sales Demonstrated application of this experience in a Sales environment, understanding of how technology enables Sales and Retail, and a record of delivering measurable business benefit Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make recommendations to large and/or senior audiences Ability to proactively identify appropriate reporting needs and data sources Demonstrated ability to sell ideas, concepts, and programs both internally and externally – at all levels Experience in working cross-functionally, managing
internal and external providers, while managing a diverse group of stakeholders, with quantifiable success developing strong, trusting, and high-performing relationships Highly data literate and analytical, with strong experience of working with and synthesizing large, complex data sets and turning it into actionable insights. Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI skills, Must demonstrate excellent business acumen, planning, drive for results and organizational skills Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills What can you expect from Mars?

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, project, or technology management; MBA preferred
- 2+ years in Business/Category Analytics or Sales with experience in retail sales environments
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication
