Job Description

Are you ready to redefine how paid social campaigns are built, optimized, and scaled? As a VP, Paid Social Automation & Innovation within the Media team, you will co-lead the development and implementation of automation-enabled campaign execution processes that improve speed, performance, and control across paid social media.

Working across the Media team and with internal stakeholders and external partners, you will translate deep platform expertise into practical automation and agentic workflows. You will partner closely with the Advanced Media Solutions Enablement team to identify, test, operationalize, and scale tools and processes that support responsible AI-enabled paid media execution while maintaining strong governance.

This role requires a paid social expert who knows the platforms inside and out, understands the realities of hands-on campaign management, and has experience building or implementing tools that make execution teams faster, smarter, and more effective. The ideal candidate can bridge campaign operations, platform capabilities, technical implementation, measurement, governance, and risk-aware AI enablement.

Job Responsibilities

Lead development and implementation of automation and agentic campaign execution processes for paid social, including campaign setup, trafficking, optimization, QA, reporting, and workflow controls.

Serve as the paid social subject matter expert partner to the Advanced Media Solutions Enablement lead, translating execution needs into tool requirements, use cases, testing plans, and scaled operating models.

Identify high-impact opportunities to automate manual campaign management tasks across paid social platforms while preserving human oversight, compliance requirements, and execution quality.

Build, pilot, and operationalize tools, templates, workflows, and playbooks that improve campaign speed-to-market, consistency, pacing, optimization, and performance.

Partner with media, analytics, platforms, agencies, legal, controls, compliance, sourcing, and technology stakeholders to evaluate capabilities, document requirements, resolve dependencies, and manage implementation.

Establish QC/QA standards, governance checkpoints, and adoption metrics for automation-enabled paid social execution, ensuring tools and processes meet internal policies and platform best practices.

Own implementation roadmaps, testing strategies, governance requirements, and adoption plans for automation-enabled paid social capabilities.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

7+ years of paid social campaign management experience with expert hands-on knowledge of major social media buying platforms, ideally within a highly regulated industry.

Deep understanding of paid social campaign architecture, platform settings, trafficking workflows, bidding, budgeting, audience strategy, creative testing, optimization, measurement, and reporting.

Experience building, implementing, or scaling tools, automations, dashboards, workflows, APIs, or operational products that improve media execution.

Experience with AI/ML governance, tool registration processes, model risk considerations, or compliance frameworks within regulated environments.

Ability to evaluate marketing technology and AI solutions, assess implementation complexity, size business value, and prioritize automation opportunities.

Experience partnering with data, analytics, product, and technology teams to manage shared backlogs, define requirements, and resolve implementation dependencies.

Strong analytical, documentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable implementation plans.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

Experience with AI-enabled media tools, agentic workflows, platform automation, rules-based optimization, APIs, or marketing technology integrations.

Experience with measurement solutions, including MMM, MTA, Conversion APIs, signal infrastructure, clean rooms, customer data platforms, or advanced attribution frameworks.

Strong Excel skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, no-code/low-code automation tools, and data visualization platforms.

Familiarity with executive storytelling frameworks (e.g., Smart Brevity, Minto) and OKR development within technology or transformation environments.

Minimum requirements

  • 7+ years paid social campaign management with expert knowledge of major platforms in regulated industries
  • Experience building or scaling automation tools, dashboards, workflows, or APIs for media execution
  • Knowledge of AI/ML governance, compliance frameworks, and ability to evaluate and prioritize marketing technology solutions
