Job Description

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Develop and implement performance test frameworks to verify application services. Plan, design, build, and execute performance test scenarios and scripts. Gather requirements, understand use cases, design performance plans, and analyze the performance of upcoming features. Design workload modeling. Integrate performance testing solutions with CI/CD, release engineering, infrastructure, cloud, and development teams. Review for continuous improvements in performance test engineering controls and review test artifacts on a regular basis.

Identify performance bottlenecks using thread dump and heap dump analysis. Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use the insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Test Lead, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Test Lead, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Gathering performance requirements and translating them into test plans, parameterized scripts, and measurable success criteria aligned with SLAs; Designing, scripting, load generator configuration, test scheduling, execution monitoring, and detailed performance analysis using industry-standard tools including JMeter and LoadRunner; Optimizing enterprise Java applications including selecting and configuring appropriate application server and JVM settings aligned to workload and SLA requirements; Monitoring and analyzing

application and infrastructure performance including configuring alerts, dashboards, and automated reporting using at least one of the following tools: Dynatrace, Datadog, or Grafana; Deploying and managing containerized applications in cloud-native performance testing environments utilizing Kubernetes and Docker; Designing and implementing observability solutions using log monitoring tools such as Grafana or Splunk, enabling proactive tracking of logs, metrics, and alerts for rapid detection and resolution of performance issues; Working with version control tools such as Git; Utilizing

CI/CD tools such as Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes; Creating and presenting detailed performance test plans and reports, communicating objectives, methodologies, findings, and recommendations to technical teams, project managers, and senior leadership.
