Job Description

Help modernize lender insurance capabilities by turning real operational friction into clear, measurable product change. Join a team focused on quality, control, and better customer and employee outcomes.

As a Product Owner, Lender Insurance Vice President in Insurance Operations, you define and govern product direction for lender insurance capabilities by staying close to how work is performed and how exceptions are handled. You translate operational insight, data, and process artifacts into clear requirements, sequenced priorities, and measurable outcomes. You serve as the primary point of contact for delivery and governance partners, making timely scope and tradeoff decisions with a strong risk and control orientation.

Job responsibilities

Observe operational workflows through structured shadowing to understand friction points, exceptions, and control needs

Define product vision and a sequenced roadmap for lender insurance capabilities and supporting tooling

Convert operational insight and data into clear, testable requirements and prioritized backlog items

Make authoritative decisions on scope, requirements, assumptions, and delivery tradeoffs to maximize outcomes

Define workflows, controls, and audit-ready traceability expectations within delivered solutions

Partner with technology and governance stakeholders to align intent, constraints, and delivery approach

Drive end-to-end integration thinking across platforms, vendors, and operational handoffs

Own backlog refinement and readiness to enable releasable increments and predictable delivery

Establish and monitor product metrics tied to quality, cycle time, and exception reduction

Lead continuous improvement by reviewing performance, root causes, and control effectiveness

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Demonstrated ability to build deep business understanding through structured immersion in frontline work

Experience analyzing operational data and process artifacts to identify root causes and requirements

Proven ability to translate operational complexity into clear requirements and defensible priorities

Strong decision-making and ability to communicate rationale aligned to outcomes, risk posture, and feasibility

Prior experience owning a backlog and defining outcomes in a regulated or control-focused environment

Ability to operate effectively at the intersection of delivery, governance, controls, and auditability

Skilled in driving clarity through ambiguity and shaping problems into actionable work

Ability to define acceptance criteria that withstand operational scrutiny and fit the operating model

Experience working across multiple systems and teams in integration-heavy, end-to-end workflows

Strong stakeholder management, serving as the single source of truth for business intent and outcomes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience partnering with risk, compliance, audit, or control functions to design traceable and testable controls

Experience building and using product metrics to reduce exceptions and operational friction

Experience delivering modernization in systems of record and integration-heavy landscapes

Familiarity with scaled Agile delivery practices and regulated delivery governance

Domain exposure to insurance operations or lender insurance processes

Minimum requirements

  • Proven ability to translate operational data and complexity into clear, testable requirements and prioritized backlog in a regulated environment
  • Experience owning product backlog and making decisions balancing delivery, governance, risk, and controls
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to operate across multiple systems in integration-heavy workflows
