As a Product Director in Communications, you will serve as a product leader responsible for shaping the strategy, governance, and evolution of JPMorganChase's enterprise communications delivery capabilities. This role will partner closely with Communications leadership to drive innovation, operational excellence, and business value across critical customer communication channels, including SMS, Push, Email, Secure Messaging, and emerging engagement platforms.
You will combine strategic vision, product management expertise, financial acumen, and strong stakeholder leadership to oversee a complex portfolio of platforms, vendor partnerships, and transformation initiatives. You will work across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Lines of Business to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient communication solutions that enhance customer experiences while supporting the firm's long-term digital servicing strategy.
Job responsibilities
Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
Partner with the Communications Leadership team to define and execute the product strategy, vision, and multi-year roadmap for customer communications delivery capabilities across orchestration and final delivery of SMS, Push, Email, Secure Messaging, and emerging channels.
Lead a team of product managers in activities for enterprise-scale communications platforms supporting customer servicing alerts, notifications, and marketing use cases across lines of business.
Drive platform optimization initiatives, including messaging vendor onboarding, channel expansion, infrastructure transformation, and migration programs.
Manage relationships with strategic vendors and line of business partners, including contract wellness, performance management, service review, cost optimization, and strategic commitments.
Oversee financial planning, forecasting, budget management, and business case development for platform investments and strategic initiatives, simplify operations, reduce vendor costs, increase automation, and improve platform scalability and reliability
Partner with Technology, Architecture, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Controls, and Operations teams to ensure platform resiliency, security, and operational excellence.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
Demonstrated success leading large-scale platform products and strategic transformation initiatives within a highly regulated environment.
Experience managing executive-level stakeholder relationships and influencing decisions across technology, operations, product, and business organizations
Strong understanding of omnichannel customer communications, including SMS, Push, Email, Secure Messaging, and emerging communication technologies
Experience managing vendor relationships, contract governance, and financial planning.
Strong understanding of operations risk, controls, information security, resiliency, and regulatory considerations.
Experience leading geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams in complex matrixed organizations.
Bachelor's degree required

Recognized thought leader within a related field
Experience with digital communications platforms
Experience with large-scale omni product financial platforms and utilities
AI-driven communications, personalization, and conversational messaging capabilities.
Advanced degree preferred
Minimum requirements
