As a Payments Sales Manager (PSM) Executive Director on the Asset Managers Team within the Financial Institutions Group, you will lead coverage of a diverse portfolio of traditional and alternative asset managers across multiple asset classes, including Private Equity, Private Credit, Hedge Funds, and asset management fintech platforms. Partnering closely with this client set, you will deliver JPMorganChase’s innovative payments and blockchain-enabled capabilities, including the Kinexys platform and solutions such as tokenized deposits, funds, and digital assets.
You will be accountable for selling products that deliver value to the firm (goal varies by position), building and advancing a strong pipeline, and executing a comprehensive sales strategy in coordination with Product and Banking coverage. In addition, you will collaborate with client service, operations, technology, risk, credit, and legal to optimize delivery, while developing deep market and client insight—including industry dynamics, organizational structure, buying processes, and business objectives—to position JPMorganChase and its solutions effectively.
Job responsibilities
Develop new business from clients within our Asset Managers segment
Understanding clients' business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to better determine their requirements and identify potential new business opportunities for JPMorgan Payments via appropriate solution(s); traditional cash management, FX, International payments, liquidity
Manage client visitation and contact; promoting sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market and industry developments
Develop and enhance in-depth client knowledge and sharing it with the client coverage team for both new business development and management of client risk
Work closely with the coverage team to guide efforts to expand existing business with current clients, providing feedback to product managers and generating cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other JPMorgan lines of business
Engage JPMorgan Payments Solutions, bankers and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client focused framework
Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity quantification and solution positioning
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Strong experience selling cash management products, knowledge of such products (10+ industry experience)
Clear command of competitors' products, strategies and value propositions
Proficiency in identifying and capitalizing supplemental sales opportunities
Demonstrated ability to position and close new business
Ability to assist in the design, sale and delivery of value-added services
Competence in assessing new opportunities/prospecting, contacting key decision makers
Comprehension of customer's industries, business needs and potential solutions
Demonstrated leader through the ability to motivate others and provide a strategic vision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to influence and strong negotiation skills
Strong account planning and demonstrated execution
Minimum requirements
- 10+ years experience selling cash management products with strong competitor knowledge
- Proven ability to identify sales opportunities, position, and close new business
