Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President to join our cash flow-based and unsecured credit products team within Commercial Real Estate. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing national platform focused on delivering financing solutions to a diverse client base, including asset-light operating companies, institutional asset managers, closed-end investment funds, and real estate investment trusts.
Transaction scope is highly varied, including working capital facilities for property management and real estate services companies, unencumbered asset pool financings for large private real estate funds, derivative facilities for private equity sponsors and investment managers, and in select situations, leveraged lending opportunities for real estate operators associated with acquisition and buy-out financing.
As a Vice President within the cash flow-based and unsecured credit products team within Commercial Real Estate, you will play a leading role in the origination, structuring, underwriting, and execution of corporate credit transactions. You will coordinate across internal and external stakeholders, including coverage, syndications, credit, legal, and client teams. You will be responsible for managing transactions throughout the full lifecycle, from initial client engagement and financial analysis through credit approval, documentation, and closing.
Job Responsibilities
Analyze corporate financial statements, business models, cash flow generation, and collateral profiles to assess debt capacity and recommend appropriate financing structures.
Lead and participate in client due diligence activities, including meetings with management teams, sponsors, investors, advisors, and other transaction stakeholders.
Prepare and oversee pitch materials, financial analyses, credit underwriting memoranda, investment committee presentations, and client-facing deliverables.
Structure and execute a broad range of cash flow-based and unsecured credit facilities in partnership with coverage, syndications, credit, legal, treasury, and product teams.
Evaluate ancillary business opportunities and broader client relationship potential associated with lending transactions.
Negotiate term sheets, credit agreements, and related legal documentation to ensure transaction economics, structure, and risk parameters align with client objectives and firm standards.
Manage the transaction closing process, including coordination of due diligence, internal approvals, external advisors, and legal counsel.
Mentor, develop, and provide guidance to junior team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Contribute to strategic initiatives, process enhancements, and platform development efforts
