Job Description

Help shape how Public Sector Lockbox delivers results—through clear priorities, strong governance, and disciplined execution. At JPMorganChase, you’ll partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to turn strategy into action and strengthen how we run the business. You’ll build executive-ready storytelling, create operating rhythm, and help teams stay aligned on outcomes that improve productivity, client experience, and risk management.

You’ll also gain exposure across Operations, Product, Technology/Applied AI, Finance, HR, and Controls, with opportunities to grow your influence and scope. If you thrive in fast-moving, highly collaborative environments, this role is built for you.

As a Public Sector Business Manager within Receivables Operations, you will serve as a strategic Business Management partner for Public Sector Lockbox, translating leadership priorities into an executable plan and a dependable operating cadence. You will own core business routines and governance (touchpoints, OKR reviews, and Monthly Business Reviews), ensuring decisions are clear, outcomes are documented, and action items are driven to closure.

You will work across Operations, Product, Technology/Applied AI, Finance, HR, and Controls to align stakeholders, coordinate communications, and drive cross-functional delivery from intake through completion. You will produce executive-ready materials, status reporting, and analysis that surface insights, improve productivity and client experience, and reduce risk. You will also serve as an early escalation point for issues, risks, and misalignment, framing options and trade-offs to enable timely decisions.

Job responsibilities

Partner with leaders across Operations, Product, Technology/Applied AI, Finance, HR, and Controls to define needs, align objectives, and deliver priorities

Own the Public Sector operating cadence by running touchpoints, OKR reviews, and Monthly Business Reviews with reliable execution and clear outcomes

Build agendas, decision points, and pre-reads; coordinate presenters and logistics to ensure meetings are decision-driven and well-prepared

Facilitate discussions, document decisions, assign owners and timelines, and drive action-item follow-through to closure

Manage cross-functional initiatives end-to-end from intake and scoping through execution, delivery, and closeout

Produce executive-ready materials, business reviews, and briefing content for senior leaders and key events

Deliver data-driven analysis and recommendations that improve productivity, strengthen client experience, and reduce risk

Standardize communications across channels to summarize progress, surface issues/risks, and clarify next steps

Escalate emerging risks, issues, and misalignment early by framing options, trade-offs, and recommended paths forward

Strengthen team effectiveness by improving ways of working, documentation quality, and process discipline

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

5 years of experience in business management, business operations, chief-of-staff/COO support, or program/project management within a large, matrixed organization

Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive follow-through without direct authority

Hands-on experience running operating cadences and governance routines, including agendas, pre-reads, minutes, action logs, and closure tracking

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize inputs into crisp, decision-oriented updates tailored to audience

Proficiency in PowerPoint, including executive storylines and clean, structured visuals

Proficiency in Excel, including pivots/lookups and KPI/OKR tracking for basic-to-intermediate analysis

Proven ability to manage work from intake to completion, including scoping, planning, dependency management, and risk/issue tracking

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using data to identify themes and translate findings into actions

Sound judgment, attention to detail, and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high quality in a fast-paced environment

Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated, with the ability to operate effectively across locations and time zones

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Change leadership: Drives adoption of new processes and standards across teams; anticipates resistance and addresses it with clarity and data.

Strategic thinking: Connects day-to-day routines to broader business priorities; helps stakeholders focus on highest-impact work.

Influence without authority: Persuades and aligns across functions through credibility, preparation, and clear framing of trade-offs.

Advanced facilitation (navigating conflict, resolving misalignment, driving decisions, documenting decision criteria).

Strong editorial skills for executive messaging (tight narrative, logical structure, clean formatting, consistent voice).

Advanced PowerPoint skills (storyboarding, slide architecture, use of charts/tables/framework slides, and building “decision” slides that accelerate alignment).

Demonstrated ability to reduce churn and improve throughput via process improvements, templates, and better intake/triage mechanisms.
