Expected salary range of $92,700 to $103,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

LOCATION

This position offers remote flexibility and can be based anywhere in the United States.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Under minimal direction, the Sr. Legal Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing, coordinating, and disseminating the Company's state, federal and Company compliance requirements in support of the wholesale and/or retail competitive businesses. In addition, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating the Company's response to state and federal inquiries related to competitive business compliance initiatives. This position has an emphasis on public sector compliance.

May supervise other Legal Compliance Analyst(s) or serve as primary point of contact for a particular compliance responsibility for the business and is a member of the Retail Regulatory team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance monitoring and maintenance policies and procedures, such as audit checklists and documentation retention programs. Conduct audits to ensure policies and procedures are followed.

Under minimal management direction, responsible for responding to routine and specific state and federal inquiries regarding Company business transactions. This includes managing the collection of requested data, analyzing the data and preparing responses to inquiries, and recommending policies and processes to enhance the Company's compliance procedures and efficiency.

Develop, recommend and maintain the Company's compliance information and website to ensure that information is easily accessible and up to date.

Stay informed of state and federal compliance regulations, and issues. Disseminate information to personnel as needed. Recommend how the Company should adjust to changing regulatory and compliance requirements.

Manage, coordinate and facilitate compliance training. This includes identifying training locations, establishing the agenda and coordinating speakers, notifying meeting attendees, leading and/or facilitating training sessions, and research and implement best practices to enhance the desired outcome.

Attend meetings to educate, explain, improve and/or create new processes as required. Assist with special projects as assigned.

Adjust and improve internal processes as needed to optimize the efficacy of each client relationship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience relevant to the position's responsibilities.

At least five years experience with regulatory and compliance policies and procedures.

Possess the ability to comprehend and analyze regulatory and compliance policies and procedures and disseminate appropriate information.

Strong verbal communication and writing skills

Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to organize projects and lead training sessions

Experience with computer applications including demonstrated ability to utilize Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong leadership skills and experience in leading/mentoring junior staff

Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Paralegal experience or experience as a corporate legal compliance specialist highly preferred

Experience with government contracting requirements

Demonstrate superior knowledge of the business and industry

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years in regulatory and compliance policies
  • Strong communication, organizational, project management, and leadership skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, with ability to analyze and disseminate compliance information
