The bp pulse team plays a critical role in supporting BP’s ambition to achieve “Net Zero by 2050”. We support teams across Technology that make up the backbone of the bp pulse charging network. Our charging points have been used over 30 million times to enable around 200 million miles of zero tailpipe emission driving.

We own and run a diverse portfolio of in-house built solutions and third-party vendor systems, ensuring that bp’s EV technology ecosystem remains reliable, secure, and high performing. From integration services and payments technology to monitoring tools, operational data platforms, and core site systems, we drive efficiency and innovation across our global footprint. By building scalable solutions on global technology standards, we create seamless experiences for both customers and employees while optimizing bp pulse's operations.

As a project manager you will work with teams across the organization to ensure we deliver our priorities on time, within budget and safely.

Let me tell you about the role

The Senior Project Manager provides comprehensive support, ensuring that resources, processes, and finances align with overall department and enterprise goals. This role ensures operational efficiency by contributing to resource management, tooling and processes, and financial oversight to support the successful delivery of bp's digital products and services.

What you will deliver

Resource allocation & management: Playing a key role in the prioritization and allocation of resources to support a diverse range of projects and teams, ensuring efficient use of talent, budget, and assets. Balance demands across initiatives to improve impact, maintain operational continuity, and meet delivery objectives all whilst optimizing cost efficiencies.

Strategic sourcing & supplier management: Supporting demand optimization, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality outcomes. Promote and develop our ways of working with our 3rd party vendor partners, whilst developing and maintaining long-term relationships to guarantee the best possible service and value for bp.

Financial management: Help drive initiatives around process optimization, cost reduction and improvement of overall operational efficiency. Provide input into financial analysis and reporting to support senior stakeholder decision-making.

Cross-functional collaboration & stakeholder management: Develop and foster cross-functional relationships to ensure alignment across project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders. Communicate effectively with various teams, calling out any risks or challenges that could impact cost or quality.

Project delivery: Work with teams to plan and manage workflow, removing blockers, fostering close and effective collaboration across teams and with other project managers. Ensuring agreed delivery processes are followed utilising standard tools: change management, planning, risk and dependency management, time management etc.

Comfortable navigating change and shifting priorities

At this level, the Senior Project Manager is highly proficient in managing a variety of tasks independently. They will coordinate the onboarding process for suppliers and resources, driving the use of automation tools and technology to streamline operations, with support from their manager. They have mastered project delivery and financial coordination across multiple teams and actively optimize these areas for efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.

Preferred experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Jira

Financial skill and experience with budget management.

Strong understanding of resource management, project management and vendor management

Additional information: Total Base Pay Range

112,000.00 -160,000.00 Annual
