The Analyst position on the Business Strategy team requires highly motivated problem solvers with solid analytical abilities, strong organizational skills, an interest in healthcare policy and regulation, and a desire to advance within the organization. This position will provide broad-based, healthcare-related data support for the Business Strategy domain of the Second Sight team. Job title and Compensation to be determined based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Independently develop and own analyses from start to finish, including writing code, validating results, generating and formatting deliverables (e.g., Excel reports and PowerPoint slides), and presenting findings to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Develop and maintain databases and other data resources, including SQL tables and schemas, Excel spreadsheets, and other files to support project needs. Partner with Strategy team leads to design creative, data-informed technology solutions, including conducting analytics to inform product design, creating diagrams and flowcharts, and developing engineering requirements documents. Apply creativity and analytical problem-solving skills, leveraging relevant software tools, programming languages, and analytical methods to develop effective solutions.
Develop analyses and financial models using transactional data and/or financial data. Perform data quality checks, develop test plans, identify anomalies, and ensure data integrity through audits. Provide support on all aspects of small to medium sized clients and discrete segments of larger projects. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate insights, findings, and recommendations. Audit analytic outputs for accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Participate in a team environment and prioritize assignments and responsibilities to meet goals and deadlines.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and an undergraduate level understanding of data analytics, computer science, statistics, economics, business, finance, accounting, or healthcare policy or administration. 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, including experience leveraging Python, R, SQL, or similar tools to analyze and interpret data. Strong technical skills, including the motivation or ability to independently execute complex data analytics in Python and SQL. An interest in growing these skills is required.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Commitment to producing high quality analysis and attention to detail. Desire to work within a team environment. Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.
