AI Intern - Experience Studio

Job Purpose You'll join our Creative team and work alongside the team member leading Pencil and AI adoption. The internship is designed to give you practical experience in how AI can support creative work, from research and ideation through to content, design and production.

You'll support existing AI initiatives by testing tools, researching new developments, documenting what we learn and contributing to small experiments. You'll have regular guidance and feedback from the team throughout the internship. The role is there to support and learn from the work already being led within the team, rather than to own AI strategy or implementation. What You'll Do Support Pencil and AI testing: Help test Pencil and other approved AI tools across different creative use cases.

Explore AI opportunities: Research new tools, developments and examples that could be useful for the Creative team. Develop and test prompts: Work with the team to test and refine prompts and help build a useful library of examples. Support experiments: Assist with small proof of concept exercises led by the team to understand where AI can add value to creative workflows. Document learnings: Capture useful prompts, workflows, examples and lessons so they can be shared with the wider team.

Gather feedback: Help collect feedback from creatives using AI tools and summarise common observations and opportunities. Support team learning: Help prepare examples, demonstrations and simple guidance as new tools and workflows are introduced. Collaborate across the team: Gain experience working with Creative Direction, Design, Content, Experience Design and Production. What We're Looking For Education: Recently completed or currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Digital Innovation, Technology or a related field.

Interest in AI and creativity: A genuine interest in generative AI, emerging technology and how it can be used within creative work. Technical curiosity: Comfortable experimenting with new tools and platforms. Some familiarity with generative AI, prompt engineering, Python or automation tools would be useful, but is not essential. Problem solving: Curious and analytical, with a willingness to try different approaches and learn from what works. Communication: Able to explain ideas, findings and observations clearly to both technical and non technical colleagues.

Collaborative approach: Comfortable learning from and working with people across different creative and technical disciplines. Organisation: Able to manage tasks, capture learnings and ask for guidance when needed. Previous professional experience within an agency, creative team or AI role is not required.

multidisciplinary and international team Competitive internship salary Location United States The US national base salary range for this position is from $42,700.00 - $79,300.00 The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
