About the role

Sr Business Development Mgr, HHS, Integrated Eligibility & Medicaid, SLG

Job ID: 10572081 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.

Description

Application deadline: Oct 12, 2026

Would you like to be part of a team that is redefining the SLG social benefits industry? Amazon Web Services (AWS) State and Local Government Health and Human Service team is leading a paradigm shift in how cloud is transforming the delivery of health, healthcare, and social benefit programs. Our team is in search of an exceptionally qualified individual with expertise in cloud technology and Medicaid program experience at the state and local level of government.

As part of the AWS HHS Integrated Eligibility & Medicaid team, you will have an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver on a national strategy to help transform Eligibility and Medicaid programs across the country. You will drive the adoption of AWS for critical technology systems that improve health outcomes for beneficiaries through system modernization with an eye for innovation, using your deep experience in this space.

You will bring an understanding of the Integrated Eligibility and Medicaid landscape and apply active listening, critical thinking, and creative approaches to help our customers solve their most critical problems with the help of cloud technologies. You will position emerging AI and generative AI capabilities — including workforce automation approaches, fast-tracking mission system modernization and other innovative influence — to move state agencies to confident adoption, while addressing the governance, security, and data-integrity questions that matter to public-sector leaders.

You will establish and execute strategic programs working with many AWS partners — system integrators, independent software vendors, and civic-technology organizations. You will build and sustain joint go-to-market motions, develop differentiated competitive positioning, and cultivate peer communities, user groups, and conference engagements that create durable credibility for AWS across the vertical.

You will learn, leverage, and bring to bear support from across AWS teams (including account managers, solutions architects, marketing, professional services, compliance, product, and other related teams) to drive results for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engage and build trusted partnerships with State Health and Human Services Agencies at the executive level (e.g., State Medicaid Director, Medicaid CIO, etc.).
  • Develop and execute strategies that drive partner and customer cloud adoption, starting with Eligibility and Medicaid customers and problems/challenges.
  • Serve as a highly credible expert on the Medicaid and/or Eligibility domain with AWS partners, customers, and internal AWS teams.
  • Work with AWS partners to develop repeatable solutions, programs, and models to accelerate and drive cloud adoption.
  • Develop joint go-to-markets and other solutions to create new opportunities with our partners.
  • Perform administrative business development functions to lead strategy, partnering with AWS Partners and Account Managers/Executives to deliver results.
