SAP Finance Contract Accounting (FI-CA) Manager – CMT/Media & Entertainment
About the role
We Are: Accenture’s SAP practice, and we live to see how technology can transform the way we live and work. We bring reinvention to life using design thinking, modern delivery methodologies, embedding AI into the way we deliver and into our clients’ business processes. Media & Entertainment is being rebuilt around the direct relationship with the consumer and the partner.
Streaming and direct-to-consumer platforms, advertising-supported tiers, bundles, content licensing, royalties and participations, and platform and app-store partnerships all generate enormous volumes of small transactions that must be billed, collected, reconciled and accounted for correctly. The ability to turn those transactions into clean receivables, cash and auditable revenue is what separates a business model on paper from one that actually closes its books. SAP Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA) is the financial backbone of that process.
It is the high-volume subledger where billed items become receivables, payments are matched, failed payments are retried and collected, partners are paid, and every posting reaches the SAP S/4HANA general ledger. Accenture has been a market leader in the SAP BRIM space since 2016, with 25+ implementations, a global BRIM Center of Excellence, and deep credentials across Entertainment & Media, Communications, Software, Consumer Goods and Public Service clients.
We are expanding our US FI-CA capability to support subscription and revenue transformation at scale for the world’s leading Media & Entertainment companies. You Are: You have a passion for finance, for high-volume transaction processing done right, and for delivering SAP-based revenue transformation projects that make a positive impact on your clients’ business. Are you inspired by working with the best companies in their industries? Want a role that provides you with a sense of purpose and satisfaction?
Then join Accenture and build a rewarding career improving the way the world works and lives, as you help clients innovate with leading-edge SAP and Accenture solutions and technologies on some of the most innovative projects in the world. Thrive in our highly collaborative, digitally-driven and innovation-led environment. Nurture your talent for thoughtful and game changing solutions in our inclusive culture that values diversity of ideas, experiences and backgrounds.
You are a confident, finance-minded leader who understands that billing and accounting are two halves of the same revenue process. You know that FI-CA is where a subscription, a royalty statement or an ad invoice becomes a receivable, a payment and a general ledger posting, and you know how to design it so that billed, collected and recognized revenue reconcile at scale. You translate client goals into clear, actionable designs that Finance, Revenue Operations and Technology can all get behind.
The more complex the transaction volumes and partner structures, the more excited you are about leading the charge to solve them.
The Work: Team with clients on their SAP revenue, billing and accounting transformation programs through your combined SAP FI-CA expertise and functional process knowledge, which includes your ability to: Engage with client leaders across Finance, Revenue Accounting, Revenue Operations, Credit & Collections and Treasury on the challenges shaping receivables, cash and revenue in Media & Entertainment, and on the value of SAP FI-CA and the wider SAP BRIM suite (current and future) Lead the design of FI-CA as the receivables and payables subledger for subscription and partner-driven
