SUMMARY
AAR Airframe MRO – Miami, an industry-leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services and a supplier of airframe and engine parts, is seeking a Technology Administrator II to join our dynamic IT team. This hands-on role supports employees in both office and active hangar environments by resolving day-to-day hardware, software, access, application, and connectivity issues.
The administrator will independently handle routine break/fix support and systems administration, support our industry-leading Paperless Taskcard Solution, contribute to technology improvements, and escalate complex issues when appropriate. Experience using approved AI-enabled tools to improve troubleshooting, documentation, and operational efficiency is valued.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide responsive technical support to employees in office and hangar environments, diagnosing and resolving common hardware, software, account, application, printing, mobile-device, and connectivity issues.
Administer and maintain assigned technologies, including Windows systems, Microsoft 365 services, endpoints, identity and access tools, and virtualized resources, following established standards and seeking guidance for complex changes.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and configurations to enhance system reliability and security.
Support AAR’s industry-leading Paperless Taskcard Solution and other business-critical applications by assisting users, triaging incidents, documenting findings, coordinating with application owners and vendors, and escalating issues when needed.
Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.
Monitor and maintain backup and recovery solutions for assigned systems and applications, perform routine recovery checks, and promptly escalate failures or risks.
Diagnose and resolve break/fix incidents involving hardware, software, business applications, and network connectivity within established service expectations; communicate status to users, document actions taken, and escalate complex issues appropriately.
Create and maintain accurate support documentation, knowledge articles, system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and operational procedures; use approved AI-enabled tools when appropriate and validate all generated content before use.
Use approved AI-enabled tools to assist with troubleshooting, summarize technical information, identify recurring support patterns, draft documentation, and improve routine workflows while following company security, privacy, and data-handling requirements.
Actively participate in company’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting safety hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand and promote the company safety policy.
Ensure security, compliance, privacy, and best practices are being adhered to as required.
Perform all other duties as directed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Two to four years of experience providing end-user support and administering business technology in a Windows-based environment. Experience in manufacturing, maintenance, aviation, or another operationally dynamic environment is a plus.
Working knowledge of Windows endpoints and servers, identity and access management, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and common IT support tools, with the ability to troubleshoot routine issues independently.
Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Entra Connect, Microsoft 365, cloud services, and business applications, including routine account administration, incident triage, and user assistance.
Working knowledge of Power Automate, PowerShell, Python, or similar tools for routine automation, along with experience using approved AI-assisted tools to support troubleshooting, draft or review scripts, summarize information, and improve productivity.
Familiarity with storage solutions and networking protocols.
Strong customer-service, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues clearly, remain responsive in a fast-paced environment, and recognize when escalation is required.
Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP) are a plus.

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field with 2-4 years of Windows-based end-user support and technology administration experience.
- Proficient in Windows systems, Microsoft 365, identity/access management, networking fundamentals, and routine troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Power Automate, Python) and approved AI-enabled troubleshooting tools.
